Voice Actor – London International Advertising Award!

Grateful to be cast as a voice for this epic work by the talented Josh Couch and the creative ‘geni-i’ at CBA – Christian Broadcasting Association.

I’m performing a few different voices in this production. (link below) 😀

Essentially it’s forty minutes of Dr Seuss-style rhyming, telling the Christmas story (well, sort of), in a contemporary Kiwi context, with Mike Hosking (New Zealand’s number one radio personality) as the main character. It includes at least 15 household names, including the Prime Minister. I’m one of a cast of fun voice talent and appear at 6m41sec as a Cheesy American, 11min 40 as Trump and a crazed Scotsman 13min 17sec.

I recently asked Colin to voice an ad that required someone to start reading in their normal voice, then gradually transition into a rampaging Scotsman storming a castle and lopping off heads of unsuspecting Englishmen with his broadsword. Not only did he nail it so amazingly well … he also threw in alternative takes where he suddenly come back to reality in his normal Australian voice at the end. It enhanced the ad and made it better that I envisaged in my head when I was writing it.
A voiceover guy with the brain of a writer is a very valuable combination for ad makers. I thoroughly recommend Colin for your next project.
